Sony Playstation 3 40GB PS3 for $199
This is another deal that is going to take a little elbow grease, and it requires signing up for a new Sony card. Also, $100 of the money back is going to be in the form of a Wal-Mart giftcard.
However, if you can deal with all of that, this is possibly the best deal for a PS3 to come along.
The first step is to sign up for a new Sony Card. They have a current promotion that offers a $100 statement credit if you buy a PS3 using your Sony Card. You’ll need to sign up as soon as possible in order to be approved by the time Wal-Mart’s promotion begins.
Once you’ve been approved, head over to Wal-Mart for their current advertised special, a 40GB Playstation 3 for $399, with a $100 gift card (see below scan):
Out the door, you’ve spent $399. During the same cycle, you’ll recieve a $100 credit from Sony, putting you at $299 (which is a great price for the system alone). However, you’ll also have the $100 giftcard from Walmart, putting your final cost for the PS3; assuming you can use the gift card, at $199!
